Last long weekend, I went to Harrison Hot Spring for a short trip. After an hour drive from Vancouver, we arrived at this beautiful place where is surrounded by mountains, ices, snow and water. This year winter, as you might not know, Vancouver has experienced the biggest snow season ever. Although the weather wasn't doing great, it benefits us, sound designers, in the way that we can capture more sounds that possibly never can be captured again.
Here are some samples that I have recorded from my hand recorder Zoom H4n. The condition wasn't too great for recording, there are some kids in the background and people were talking as well. I went through a noise reduction process and cleaned up some of the low frequencies. It was definitely a great experience and I will record more when the weather gets better. Hopefully there will be more sounds to share with you guys.
Stay tuned!
